Reception (EYFS)

At the end of Reception, children are expected to achieve what is described as a 'Good Level of Development'. 

GLD is defined as children working at the expected standard or exceeding the expected standard in the key areas of literacy, maths, physical development, communication and language and personal, social and emotional development.

End of Key Stage 1 (Year 2) outcomes

At the end of Year 2 children’s skills in Reading, Writing and Maths are assessed using national Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs) which contribute towards the Teacher Assessment.
