Job overview
We are looking for an Assistant Principal to join the team here at Phoenix Infant Academy with students aged 4 – 7 years. You will believe that that every student, irrespective of their background or level of ability, should enjoy all the support they need to learn, explore and discover their potential.
We are passionate about encouraging our children to be lifelong learners. We want to give them the skills and confidence to face the future with optimism and excitement, knowing that, with hard work and determination, they can succeed. In short, we believe in empowering opportunity – and whoever takes on this exciting role will be part of doing just that.
We are looking for someone who can formulate the aims and objectives of the school, establishing policies for achieving these aims and objectives and lead on the appropriate provision for children with special needs.
If you are looking for your next challenge and feel you are the right person for the role, we look forward to hearing from you.
We also offer a forward-thinking Employee Assistance Programme, Medical Cash Plan, Eyecare Vouchers, Cycle to Work and Wider Wallet benefit hub. Well-being is openly discussed and forms part of all school agendas. The school is committed to staff wellbeing and time is scheduled for each member of staff to meet a designated person regularly each term.
Since we’re close to the centre of Slough, travel connections are excellent. The M4 is within easy reach and also the mainline rail station.
If successful, you can look forward to exceptional professional development opportunities - within the MAT and beyond - that will be tailored to your particular interests and aspirations. What’s more, you’ll enjoy leading highly committed staff, teaching very well-behaved children with supportive families.
We openly welcome visits to the school and if you would like to arrange a time, please call the school office on 01753 521888.
