Vice Principal

Vice Principal

Start Date: 1 September 2026

We are looking for a Vice Principal to join the team here at Phoenix Infant Academy with students aged 4 – 7 years. You will be an inspirational leader who believes that every student, irrespective of their background or level of ability, should enjoy all the support they need to learn, explore and discover their potential.

We are passionate about encouraging our children to be lifelong learners. We want to give them the skills and confidence to face the future with optimism and excitement, knowing that, with hard work and determination, they can succeed. In short, we believe in empowering opportunity – and whoever takes on this exciting role will be part of doing just that.

We have a highly creative curriculum that is exciting to teach and places emphasis on experiential learning. This inspires both our adults and children and provides our pupils with much-needed life experiences.

We want someone to work closely with the Principal and someone who is able to deputise in their absence with confidence. You will be responsible for identified areas across the school including; attendance, curriculum and assessment.

We also offer a forward-thinking Employee Assistance Programme, Medical Cash Plan, Eyecare Vouchers, Cycle to Work, Wider Wallet benefit hub and Wider Wallet Fitness. Well-being is openly discussed and forms part of all school agendas.

Since we’re close to the centre of Slough, travel connections are excellent. The M4 is within easy reach and also the mainline rail station.

If successful, you can look forward to exceptional professional development opportunities - within the MAT and beyond - that will be tailored to your particular interests and aspirations. What’s more, you’ll enjoy leading highly committed staff, teaching very well-behaved children with supportive families.

We openly welcome visits to the school and if you would like to arrange a time, please call the school office on 01753 521888.
