Salary: MPS/UPS and SEN Allowance £2,786.

Phoenix Infant Academy is a popular infant school with students aged 4 – 7 years and we are seeking to appoint, a SEND Teacher to join our fantastic community. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is committed to ensuring every child thrives, feels valued, and achieves their full potential.
As our SEND Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping high‑quality provision for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will:
- Lead by example, modelling excellent teaching practice and using coaching and mentoring approaches to strengthen SEND provision across the school.
- Teach and support pupils attached to the Resource Base, delivering high‑quality learning experiences in both mainstream classrooms and the Therapy Room, in line with their EHC Plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of progress and attainment for all pupils within the Resource Base, following school systems and expectations.
- Contribute to SEND record‑keeping for any pupils you teach, ensuring information is clear, up to date, and supports effective planning.
- Participate actively in Pupil Progress Meetings, offering insight and expertise to secure strong outcomes for all SEND learners.
- Use effective strategies to identify and respond to pupils’ emerging needs during teaching sessions, adapting provision to ensure every child is supported.
- Support and guide support staff, ensuring they use assessment meaningfully in their daily practice to enhance learning for the pupils they work with.
